India vs Bangladesh as ICC releases schedule for T20 World Cup 2024 warmup matches

The Indian team is set to play against Bangladesh in a T20 World Cup warm-up match in the USA on June 1, as announced by the International Cricket Council on Friday, May 17, 2024.

The specific venue and time for India’s match have not yet been disclosed. The ICC stated that 17 of the 20 teams will participate in warm-up games from May 27 to June 1 across the USA and Trinidad and Tobago.

South Africa will have an intrasquad match on May 29 in Florida. Defending champions England, along with Pakistan and New Zealand, will not participate in any warm-up matches. England and Pakistan will be engaged in a four-T20I series starting on May 22. New Zealand, having completed a five-match T20I series in Pakistan, will begin their World Cup campaign against Afghanistan on June 8.

The 16 warm-up matches will be held at venues including Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, Queen’s Park Oval, and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.

These warm-up matches will not carry T20I status, allowing teams to utilize all members of their 15-player squads. The warm-up match between the West Indies and Australia at Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad and Tobago on May 30 will be open to fans.
