Subsequently, he underwent surgery to address his troublesome knee shortly after the victorious campaign and has been progressing well in his recovery.
As the countdown to IPL 2024 enters its final two weeks, Dhoni took to social media on Monday (March 4), prompting speculation regarding his future endeavors.
Taking to Facebook, the CSK skipper wrote: “Can’t wait for the new season and the new ‘role’. Stay tuned!”
The season referred to in Dhoni’s post remains ambiguous, leaving fans to speculate whether it pertains to the IPL 2024 edition. Nevertheless, Dhoni’s mention of a “new role” quickly captured the attention of fans, rapidly spreading across social media platforms.
In the forthcoming IPL 2024 season’s initial phase, CSK is slated to participate in four matches. The tournament commences with CSK facing RCB at Chepauk on March 22. Following this, the defending champions will encounter Gujarat Titans on March 26 at Chepauk, followed by a match against Delhi Capitals in Vizag on March 31. The first phase concludes with CSK’s match against SRH in Hyderabad on April 5.
