Ben Stokes Hammers 182, Achieves Highest Individual Score for England in ODIs

In a breathtaking display of power-hitting and unwavering determination, Ben Stokes etched his name in English cricket history by smashing an astonishing 182 runs in a One Day International (ODI) match.

Stokes’s incredible innings not only helped England to secure a good position in the match but also set a new benchmark as the highest individual score for his nation in the ODI format.

In the match, New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and chose to bowl first. Trent Boult, who made his return to international cricket for the NZ, removed Jonny Bairstow (0) and Joe Root (4) early on.

But then Dawid Malan (96 runs) added 199 runs for the third wicket with Ben Stokes in what was an amazing partnership between the two left-handers.

Ben Stokes dominated the proceedings bringing up his 50 in just 44 balls, hitting 9 fours. Stokes continued the assault and brought up his 4th ODI century in just 76 balls.

While David Malan was dismissed for 96 runs, Stokes’ assault continued as he reached his 150 in 106 balls and shortly went past Jason Roy’s record of 180- the highest individual score for England in ODIs.
