Indian star Sachin Tendulkar urged by netizens to help Vinod Kambli after his heartbreaking video surfaces
A video purportedly showing former India cricketer Vinod Kambli has emerged on social media, depicting him struggling to stand and seemingly in an inebriated state. In the video, passersby assist Kambli and escort him to the side of the road. Although the video’s authenticity and its recentness are unverified, fans expressed concern for Kambli’s well-being.
Kambli has faced numerous health issues over the past decade, including a heart attack in 2013 and an angioplasty in 2012. Fans on social media have called on Kambli’s longtime friend, India batting star Sachin Tendulkar, for support.
Kambli and Tendulkar have been close friends since their childhood in Mumbai, both being mentored by the late Ramakant Achrekar. They represented India internationally, with Tendulkar debuting in 1989 and Kambli in 1991. Kambli played 104 one-day internationals, scoring 2477 runs with 14 fifties and two centuries, and 17 Tests, accumulating 1084 runs with four centuries and three fifties.
Following the video’s release, fans tagged Tendulkar, urging him to help his friend Kambli.
