Harbhajan Singh calls Kamran Akmal ‘Nalaayak’ despite receiving public apology for racist remark on Sikh religion
Despite Kamran Akmal issuing a public apology after making offensive remarks about Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh, legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh criticized the former Pakistan wicketkeeper again.
Harbhajan emphasized that Akmal should refrain from hurting religious sentiments and making fun of anyone’s religion.
During a tense T20 World Cup 2024 match between India and Pakistan in New York on June 9, Akmal made a derogatory comment about Arshdeep, who bowled the final over of the match.
“Anything can happen. It is already 12,” he said while speaking on ARY News.
These comments were seen as offensive to the Sikh community, leading to strong reactions, especially from Harbhajan.
“You should know the history of Sikhs before you speak. Sikhs saved your mothers and sisters when they were abducted by invaders, and the time was 12 o’clock. Shame on you…Have some gratitude,” Harbhajan tweeted.
