IPL 2024: MS Dhoni hilariously pretends to throw bottle at cameraperson for showing him on the camera

The Chepauk witnessed an intense clash between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 23 as part of the ongoing IPL 2024 tournament. This match marked the second face-off between the two teams, with LSG emerging victorious in their previous encounter in Lucknow.

After winning the toss, LSG captain KL Rahul elected to field first. The LSG bowlers struck early, dismissing Ajinkya Rahane (1), Daryl Mitchell (11), and Ravindra Jadeja (16) by the 12th over, with CSK reaching 101 runs.

However, Ruturaj Gaikwad’s steady accumulation of runs at one end, accompanied by an explosive innings from Shivam Dube, propelled CSK’s scoring rate. Dube blazed his way to 66 runs off just 27 deliveries, featuring 7 sixes and 3 fours, while Ruturaj remained unbeaten on 100, comprising 12 boundaries and 3 sixes, guiding CSK to a total of 210/4 in their allotted 20 overs.

In a brief cameo, MS Dhoni, the former CSK captain, faced just one ball and dispatched it to the boundary for a four.

But the most interesting incident happened in the 17th over of the CSK innings, when Gaikwad was batting on 93 and was nearing a brilliant ton.

MS Dhoni observed the impressive innings from the dressing room, and the camera captured his presence on the screen. The crowd erupted with excitement upon seeing Dhoni, amplifying the noise levels significantly.

Despite the uproar, ‘Thala’ seemed content and playfully pretended to throw a water bottle at the cameraperson.
